Istanbul 2004: Central Location for Easy Travel and Prime-Time Broadcasting

In this world of instant communications, Istanbul enjoys the power of being in the same central location as it did in the ancient world.. Today it means that the average flying time for the Olympic Family to reach Istanbul is less than 5 hours. To express it differently, the Olympist City is not only easily accessible but, at the ideal GMT+2 time zone, is also awake at peak hours with much of the world. Those who cannot actually come to the Games, can at least participate in them by watching the action live at prime-time broadcasting from Istanbul.
